What is the difference between KOMPLETE KONTROL and Kontakt Player? ›

Komplete: Explained. Kontakt is a standalone piece of software that powers many Native Instruments sample libraries. Komplete 14 is a bundle that contains many instruments and plugins, including Kontakt 7.

Kontakt is a sample-based synth while Komplete Kontrol is a wrapper for plugins, they're completely different things. You're meant to run Kontakt (7, 6, 5, whatever) inside komplete kontrol if you have a kk keyboard.
